Our Doctors Have Been Caring For Patients Since 1982

Arthur Kerle – DDS

Dentistry has been a dream of mine since I was 10 years old. My dentist was very supportive of me all through my childhood. Upon graduating with a Masters in biology, I got to go to the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, in Ann Arbor. After graduation, I decided to head up to northern Michigan and set up a practice in a town of 1250 people. I was in the community for 23 years, I saw kids of kids, went to weddings and funerals, made hospital visits. I loved my families. I lived on my favorite bend of a trout stream. My 3 kids got to grow up on the river fly fishing, canoeing, and kayaking on “our river”. It was my ideal life, but some people in my family didn’t like winters of -30 and snow! So After 23 years, I decided to make a career change and moved to southern Illinois to teach anatomy and physiology, pathology, histology, etc. at Greenville University.

I loved to encourage the kids to learn and love the subjects that were dear to me. My son, Matthew and I went with my church on a mission trip to Bolivia. I learned that whatever language you speak, if you ask a child, “Do you want me to pull your tooth?”, the answer is always the same. The Bolivia trip was a reminder of where my heart and passion was, so I got back into dentistry. I enjoy getting to know my patients, we all have a story. I have learned so much about life from them. My goal for my patients is comfort during and after an appointment and teaching them how to have a healthier mouth.
